Community Health Best Practices, LLC (CHBP) is pleased to announce a new strategic relationship with CHCollective, the only health center-owned and operated channel partner to Provista-Vizient, the nation’s largest healthcare group purchasing organization (GPO).
Launched at the end of 2023, CHCollective was established to serve a client group of community health centers (CHCs) built and supported over the last 20 years. Through its exclusive partnership with Provista-Vizient, whose purchasing power is nearly three times that of its closest competitor, CHCollective delivers the broadest contract portfolio and the deepest discounts on supplies, equipment, products, and services exclusively to CHCs.
CHCollective is owned by health centers and staffed by a team with more than 85 years of combined CHC purchasing experience. The team includes familiar and trusted names in the CHC and vendor community, such as CEO Danny Hawkins. CHCollective’s business model is centered on supporting CHCs and their partner networks, including ongoing revenue opportunities for Primary Care Associations (PCAs) and support for cooperative agreements and networks.
With the transition of more than 800 CHCs from the former Value in Purchasing (ViP) Program, all supplier contracts and elevated pricing tiers previously available through ViP have continued seamlessly under CHCollective. CHCollective partners with all major medical supply distributors, including McKesson, Henry Schein, Medline, and others—ensuring CHCs retain access to the most-utilized GPO product segments.
“CHBP is committed to helping health centers achieve operational excellence and maximize resources for patient care,” said Don Daniel, Executive Director of CHBP. “Our relationship with CHCollective ensures our members benefit from the industry’s most comprehensive purchasing solutions, while supporting organizations that work tirelessly on their behalf.”
“CHCollective was built to serve community health centers, by people who know and care deeply about their unique needs,” said Danny Hawkins, CEO of CHCollective. “Through our partnership with Provista-Vizient and our collaboration with CHBP, we’re able to offer unmatched value and continuity for CHCs nationwide—ensuring they have the resources and support needed to deliver exceptional care in their communities.”

About Community Health Best Practices: Community Health Best Practices, LLC is a nonprofit network comprised of 17 of the nation’s leading community health centers. Members operate federally qualified health centers (FQHCs) in Oregon, Washington, Arizona, California, Colorado, New Mexico, Texas, Hawaii, Connecticut, New York, Massachusetts, and Puerto Rico, and they provide comprehensive primary care and behavioral health services to all patients regardless of the patients’ ability to pay for such services. CHBP health centers annually provide care to more than 1 million individuals and perform approximately 5 million medical, dental, and behavioral health encounters, a large percentage of which involve uninsured or underinsured patients.
About CHCollective: CHCollective is the only health center-owned and operated channel partner to Provista-Vizient, the largest healthcare group purchasing organization. CHCollective was established to service a health center client group built meticulously over the last 20 years. Through its partnership with Provista-Vizient, CHCollective offers the broadest contract portfolio with the deepest discounts on supplies, equipment, products, and services.
Community Health Best Practices, LLC (CHBP), a network of 17 community health centers, announced it has established CHCollective, a channel partner to Provista, which is a wholly- owned subsidiary of Vizient. As a channel partner to the nation’s largest healthcare group purchasing organization (GPO), CHCollective provides health centers with the customer service support necessary in navigating the complex world of GPO to ensure they receive the full benefit of their GPO membership, most especially discounts on products and services available through the Provista portfolio.
Additionally, CHCollective will assume operation of the Delta Purchasing Alliance (DPA). Launched by CHBP in 2016, the DPA has achieved significant cost savings for health centers through negotiation of key supplier and vendor pricing arrangements, while also providing health center supply chain staff with education and resources aimed at improving efficiencies and managing spend. CHCollective assuming control of the DPA’s daily operations not only safeguards the benefits DPA members have come to expect but also eliminates potential duplications now that both the DPA and CHCollective are under common ownership.
“This integration represents a powerful step forward in our commitment to help health centers maximize every dollar and resource,” said Don Daniel, Executive Director of CHBP. “By combining the strengths of CHBP, CHCollective, and DPA, we are ensuring health centers nationwide have access to the best solutions in today’s healthcare landscape.”
“Bringing DPA into the CHBP network is a natural evolution for our organizations and the communities we serve,” added Danny Hawkins, CEO of CHCollective. “Together, we’re making it easier than ever for CHCs to access value-driven purchasing programs designed just for them.”
As a result of this integration, community health centers will now have direct access to both the CHCollective and DPA’s industry-leading group purchasing programs, leveraging the collective strength of over 800 CHCs and the exclusive partnership between CHCollective and Provista-Vizient—the nation’s largest healthcare group purchasing organization. This alignment ensures that CHCs continue to benefit from the broadest contract portfolio, the most competitive pricing, and seamless access to essential medical, dental, and operational supplies.
What This Means for CHCs:
Expanded Savings: CHCs can access all CHCollective and DPA-negotiated agreements, including new pricing on language services, medical waste, document shredding, and more.
Seamless Experience: All existing supplier contracts and elevated pricing tiers continue uninterrupted, with ongoing support from the experienced CHCollective team.
Strengthened Advocacy: By uniting the resources and expertise of CHBP, CHCollective, and DPA, this collaboration further supports the operational and financial sustainability of CHCs, helping centers focus on what matters most: patient care.
